I sent it in last month to have the purple tint issue fixed. Thought everything was fine on the phone until I received a phone call and the person was complaining they couldn't hear me. Then I had someone swap phones with me and realized that the call quality on my phone was very faint, when it was literally right next to the other person's ear. So after the repair service they fudge'd up my microphone. Literally the only way people hear me when I call is by talking directly into the microphone (located on the bottom of the phone). Also, a little minor issue with the power button being uneven, which is still frustrating. And on occasion, sometimes when I turn the volume all the way up during a phone call, the highest mode sounds like I just turned on speaker phone or something (which I have not). It's like loud, louder, loudest, fucking speaker phone activated. To the point where random bystanders can hear the other person talking on the phone. So all in all, I was like fuck it. I'm not sending this POS for another repair, I should have just asked for a replacement in the first place, but I'm not making that mistake again. The person today said he sent it to a higher up and I will have an answer tomorrow. Lets see how that goes...and I'm not paying them a dime for it. They said they have two swap methods. One is $19, where I send my phone, wait 3-5 days and get a replacement or $29 where they ship one overnight and then I send mine. Even though at this point they owe me a $29 swap because of this shit storm, I just want my bloody swap already.

Oh and the worst part is the replacement only comes with a 90 day warranty, after that I guess I'm SOL. So a 90 day warranty, for a phone that is refurbished. Excellent.

 

Where'd you get your phone from? I never swap with a manufacturer (unless Apple). I just go to the store (like bestbuy) and have them swap it for a new one. I got mine from Amazon and they said they'd ship me a box and pay for the return and ship me a new one within 3 days, but I never did since the purple tint wasn't very bad on mine.

Sam's club, lol. It was like $60 bucks cheaper at the time with a 2 yr contract. I haven't seen what phones they offer and I'm not sure their place deals with returns like this. I either have to go through HTC or T-Mobile. Hell, T-Mobile probably would have been 10x easier than this crap. I just wanted to go through HTC because I have a valid excuse for them to waive the fee. Their service department messed up my phone + I paid for it to be shipped there and waited a week. They need to waive that fee.

Thats just the front glass... It actually still works fine after i pulled it off.

 

The funny thing is when people have shattered screens like that, but they continue using it like nothing is wrong.

funny thing is after i cut of the front glass... it all still works underneath. even the touch.
the front glass costs me $3, that's less than a screen protector lol.

Repair and sell

 

I replaced the whole screen/LCD on my mom's S3. Took around 30 minutes but cost $150. Looked brand new again.

 

yea the LCD is the expensive part. Luckily i didnt crack mine.

Screen size / resolution, CPU and RAM mainly.

It's rumored to have a 4k display, faster CPU and like 4GB of RAM. but then again, those are all rumors so who knows.

I wish. I was taking random shots of the lake and saw this guy on the opposite side. So I drove all the way around to get a shot of his boat. I thought the colors would look great in a photo.
