^^ Ethanol in gas makes it harder to start in very cold temps.. Maybe a good idea to put in a bottle of "Dry Gas" in the tank on the next fill up.

It's alcohol based additive you put into your gas tank to absorb the moisture/water in the tank and burn it with the fuel. Most if not all auto parts store have them.

if i wanted to soak up moisture i would just put an anhydrite in there like a silicate. then again, probably would absorb gas just the same and then i'd have a solid tank instead of liquid gas in there

I had a problem on start up today with a brand new battery.... so it must be the freezing temps / gas related!

AP Chem Eddie!

*** Correction in the Dry Gas Recommendation.. Meant to say "Isopropyl Alcohol".

P. Diddy and I are early birds. Been up since 5am and put in almost 2 solid hours of uninterrupted work. Got a lil bit of snow here in the DC area today. Just enough to get the car dirty and roads slushy...

well I used iso-heet yesterday contains "Isopropyl alcohol"...another 15 degree startup today no change from yesterdays startup; but I dont think its suppose to improve startup...

the car did feel a little "peppier" or responsive after a minute of driving...it usually needed more time; I dont know could just be all in my head placebo effect type of deal but it cant hurt the car
