2G Sightings Thread
#42
I saw two in Old Town, Pasadena recently. Quite funny after not seeing any at all for so long. One in the parking garage off of Fair Oaks and the other while driving on Arroyo Parkway.

I saw one a couple of weeks ago, but it was being showcased inside of the Mall. Black That's what suckered me into getting a Gregio Metallic 09 TSX from the dealer the following weekend.

i'm from the 3G TL side. i live near downtown seattle and was walking through chinatown on the day after july 4th. as i was walking down king street i saw a black G2 TSX with a REALLY nice set of chrome wheels on it. the car had presence. my eyes were fixed on it and couldn't stop staring. a G1 TSX could never mesmerize me as much as that G2 did. props to whoever owns it. i'm seriously digging the looks of the G2.

Talked to an older gentleman after he was getting out of his 09 Polished Metal Metallic TSX in Japantown in San Francisco. Asked him what he thought of the car and replied it rode/drove just like a 5 series BMW...but that sounded like something a dealer would say.
...and I've never driven a 5 series to know what he was talking about.

Yesterday: Polished Metal, driver was a female maybe in her 40s or 50s. This was at Wegmans in Bridgewater, NJ.
Today: Crystal Black, I think it was a male driver. Seen on Industrial Parkway in Branchburg, NJ.

I have yet to see an 09 TSX (besides mine) here in the Lexington Ky. area. PRBallard, where are you?
However, I was in Pittsburgh the weekend before last and saw two. The first was on Thursday evening on US 19 in Peters Township. The second was on Sunday on Library Road near South Park. I believe the second sighting was either a Polished Metal or a Grigio. They didn't see me because I was driving my daughter's Honda CRV.

Isn't this thread kind of passé now? TSX just had the biggest selling month of any model in Acura's history. I see 2 or 3 in a given day. Isn't fair to say they are all over the place and thus quite common now?

I saw three TSXs this morning on a transport truck. They were all on the top and I got a great look at them -- one glacier blue metallic, one basque red pearl, and one polished metal metallic. They looked AMAZING up there! The grille caught my eye immediately and looked sweet. Three real beauties!

Safety Car
None Yet
I have not seen 1 on the road yet but I should state that in my area it took a couple of months before I saw the new Camry or CR-V. However, the new Accords took no time @ all to pop up everywhere.
On a side note:
I am currently @ the dealership waiting for service so I wandered over to the 2009 TSX. It definitely looks much better in person. The grill is not nearly as offensive as some pictures might suggest. The interior materials do seem inferior to my 2004 but by no means cheap EXCEPT the door handles. The interior door handles are made of plastic ... rather thin plastic for the function it serves. I can see people breaking these handles easily when in a rush. I cannot believe Acura approved this.
Overall, it looks like a solid car for the $$$ & am not surprised that it sells. The salesman said that they could not keep them on the lot & they had 1 2008 left.
The 2009 RL is in the sun & it is much too hot for me to inspect right now.

Ummm, I love my TSX, but you can not even compare the drive with my brother's '08 535i sport package. It is in a different league.

Spotted a silver one at Best Buy in fair lakes shopping center parked towards the end of the lot. Parked right by it and was checking it out. Saw a guy walking towards it and was going to talk but he went by it and to another car. Anyways looked real nice. Its cool seeing it in other colors than your own. This was last thursday evening the 21st.

I spotted a brand new white '09 in my gym parking lot tonight (Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center in Montgomery, NJ). It didn't even have its plates yet.

I just saw a bunch of TSX's on a ride home from Connecticut. I saw a white one on the LIE driving from around the Clearview to near Queens Center. The Dark Knight, was that you?
