I believe so. It wouldn't surprise me compared to the previous years. I got august's sales, looks pretty low. I didn't find any year-to-year comparisons as of yet though. Got this from acura's website.
"August marked a return to normal production levels for most of our models," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. "We remain optimistic for a resilient year as Acura dealerships rebuild their inventory to meet our customer’s needs."
The MDX continues as Acura’s sales leader with 3,126 units sold. TL reported 2,404 sales for the month and TSX 2,263 units, down 19.8 and 10 percent respectively.

Thanks for heads up. Went to the Acura site, I see they dropped the 6MT entirely for 2012, only 5AT model available.
http://www.acura.com/Pricing.aspx?mo...modelYear=2012
Well, at least you can order the 6MT in SE model when they become available.
In Canada, we can still order 6MT on Base (cloth seat, no HID or fog lights) and Premium (US Base), but only 5AT on Tech model.
So for model year 2012, the only Acura model that offers the 6MT would be TSX SE and TL SH-AWD.

Unbelievable, but I guess that's the direction that most manufacturers are taking these days... they have number crunchers to tell them that they'll make the most money going with AT...

Goodbye.
well, of course. If a company that aims to make money at the end of the day only cater to the minor group of interested people, then they would be losing so much more money and not tapping into the majority of potential customers. Continue on a path such as that and you will soon be unable to sustain your business even for that minor group of people, unless you charge a preposterous amount of money for each car sold, but it is known that none of you will pay such a price, and thus the good old saying goes:
Deal with it.
Deal with it.

I have no problem with that line of thinking. However I'd like to know why they think people who drive sporty cars with sticks don't want Nav and an upgraded sound system. When the lease is up on my 2011 TSX 6 speed with tech, it appears to be the end of the line for me and Acura.

Bye Bye 6-speed.

Dropping the 6MT tells me the new smaller model is coming soon, and will be available with 6MT. It's still disappointing, and I'm hoping the small Acura will be enthusiast-worthy enough to restore some of my faith in Honda generally. But we do need to give props for the 6MT availability in the TL-SH AWD, especially when manual transmissions are almost gone from mid-sized to large sedans. Even the 2012 BMW 528i with the new turbo four is auto only, which is a disgrace. Ditto the Infiniti G25, and the depressing list goes on...

another worthless trim (SE). the goddamn accord had an Special Edition and it was basically the worst trim. It took me a month of research and thinking to buy my 2003 TL 8 years ago. i was contemplating the mustang V8 vs the TL-P. The tl-s had better economy and same power and better looks. now acura offers nothing to match competition. not in power, fuel economy or anything else as a matter of fact. except maybe for acura SUVs.
a decade old SOHC v6 and 5 speed auto on a TSX. make that dohc v6 with direct injection, 8 speed auto and it should give you a nice ~330 horses and why not add in the sh-awd as an option instead of red stitching? and i think they should change the title SH-AWD to something else, like actually a word...look at audi/bmw/benz quattro, xdrive, 4matic. i might start a topic about this lol. sh-awd reminds me of nissan's sl-awd. doesnt sound premium.
