2012 Special Edition, 6 speed manual - new owner
 

Hi

So i just got a 2012 white SE 6sp yesterday. Pretty sweet ride. This will primarily be my wifes car/family car. We both had RSX type S's (a black one and a white one) so we are not new to the K series with 6speeds. I thought that nothing FWD would have as good a shifter as the type S but the TSX 6 speed shifts just as well if not better.

the SE interior is sweet with the red stitching and the black headliner....a little too dark maybe, hehe...but it feels like a grown up type R (white with a black interior with red accents)

We actually alternate cars every other day. Both cars are stick so it's all good

i'll second that second part. really hoping to buy a 2013 TSX SE Vortex Blue 6MT/Tech

yea, we were also looking at a honda CR-V, mazda CX-5, and G37. at the autoshow, my wife just couldn't see herself driving the AT only CR-V. CX-5 wasn't at the show. G37 is nice, and roughly the same size as a TSX, but to get it in stick is about $10k more than a stick TSX.

while i know the opinion around here for the Special Edition is pretty cold (i.e. not worth it, that's it?!?, not special enough), I think its a good value for what you get. the body kit alone is probably worth more than the $1000 extra. it's pretty much most of the Type S goodies for not that much extra $. And im guessing that most people would love to get their hands on the body kit and pedals
