2010 TSX dead battery

My battery needs to be replaced.
My question is this;
Is battery covered under warranty?
If so, is it a "pro-rated" type of coverage?

My dealer told me the battery has a 3 year warranty. I drained my battery dead by leaving the radio on for hours, so I needed a jump. I took it to Acura and they said battery was no good anymore and replaced it under warranty. I have a 2011.

Your dealer gave you the wrong information. Look in the warranty booklet that came with your car.

I listen to the radio all the time. How long did you leave yours on?

My battery drained as well as I listened to the radio, on 3 different occasions. I finally said to hell with it and changed it for an Optima Yellow Top (by the time I decided to change it, it was out of warranty). Haven't had any problems since.

I have an '09 and my battery was replaced in October for free with no issues.

These batteries are not too great, though, and while free is free and I can't argue with that logic, if you plan to keep the car for a while, I think it is worth investing in a better aftermarket battery. I know a $100+ expense when you don't need one is a tough sell, but getting stuck somewhere one day and having to push your car out of a spot with the help of a few others just to be able to get a jump is annoying...which of course is exactly what happened to me ha ha

Agree 100% and same happened to me, but it was in my garage, pushed it out myself and jumped with the Mrs. MDX

Acura batteries are garbage, I'm on my 3rd with only 46k miles on an 09 car. I'm getting ready to buy an non Acura one so I don't need to replace every year. They have been no charge but I don't want to play this game each year.

Free is one thing, but an annual event is no fun. Could it be there might be something wrong with your charging system? Just a thought.

My 2010 battery just died, replaced for free. I looked at the specs on the stock battery and its nothing special. I might replace it with a dry-cell next year.

I'm sure it is possible but it's an Acura dealer putting them in each time, I rely on them to diagnose whats wrong.

my battery indicator window shows 100% clear....not blue or green like this one...does that mean its getting ready to die?
