nice i like how the lines flow really well together on the aspec front. when i first took a glance at the front, the lines that go like \ / reminded me of the Audi grills. Chrome rims are still a ehh to me, but they could always take those off and knock off a few racks..
When I first seen pictures of the 2nd gens, i hated it, the look is slowly growing on me, but that is not to say that i don't like my 1st gen more.

Wheels, drop, aspec kit and a grill, and i think that car would look golden!

looks nice, but it'll be somewhere around 35k which is tooooooooo slow for a car with that price, i personally would get a G35x for that price. unless they come out with a Type-S .

2 things, there is not a suspension available from Acura for this car. Second, they aren't calling it A-spec or anything. Sure you can add new bumpers, side skirts and wheels, but they aren't calling it A-spec.

Oh and I guess #3....If I really liked the 18's they've designed for this car, I'd buy the 19's from the RDX and put on there. They'd look perfect IMO.

The US Accord is designed and built here. The TSX is designed and built in Japan. It is their Accord and they like using the same parts whenever possible. No excuss, just the way it is.

I was in the dealership on saturday for a test drive and was talking to a technician there. Apparently they've suspended the body upgrades for the moment because of an issue with the paint that was used on them.

When I get my TSX I would like some of the upgrades but the installed prices are crazy so I'm thinking I'll likely modify one myself over time.

I saw the exact same car today at John Eagle Acura in Houston while getting the '08 serviced. I must admit it looks much better in person - and the white pearl paint is gorgeous. I like the interior layout and the trunk lip spoiler looked great on the car. The sticker was $36160.

Greatly improves the look of the front end, IMO. Now all that would be left is to replace the "stacked brick-look" grille up top with some tasteful mesh/plastic grille.

You guys say you are adding up "everything" on the car to get north of $40k. What exactly is everything? I just added up a Tech model with body kit, rear deck spoiler and wheels. I got about $38k. I built and priced a fully loaded G35 sport and it was almost $40k. Not a fair comparison because the G35 is geared more towards the TL and you can't add body kits or anything on the Infiniti site.

Fancy plastic but no A-SPEC suspension.

Better, but still not a fan. As big as the wheelwells on the 1G are, they look much bigger on this car. It makes the wheels look tiny. This TSX needs 19's at least, and a drop, to look decent.

Plus, the grille. Bleh.

car needs to be dropped at least 1.5" for propper look
it looks much fatter with the aspec kits.

i saw one in the dealer yesterday and 2g tsx looks as big as the 3g tl and looked much better than the pictures.

It doesn't include the installation charges for the bodykit on the site (nor tax, title, and license fees, obviously).

I didn't use Acura's site to add these up. I uses our own accessory list from the dealership, which does include installation. I didn't use taxes, licence, etc... since you have to pay those on any car anyway.

Well, an actual sticker price on an 09 TSX with everything included was $42k at a dealer nearby.

I've considered the G35 instead of the TSX. I just personally do not like the look of the G35. I especially hate the back of it.

I think the problems with the current grill are

1) The top is too cluttered with stuff, giving a bucktooth appearance

2) The way the logo is placed into the grill makes it look like cheap plastic

3) The chrome just doesn't look right, I think it needs something more subtle

4) The surround in grey plastic looks tacky and should be painted the body color IMO or just be black.

5) I don't like how high placed the logo is, it makes it seem like its dangling from the top

6) The surround being grey gives the illusion that the grill is bigger than it is, if it was painted the body color it appears smaller.

My attempt at a better grill. Not perfect but solves some of the issues.

Nice.... Even the current "element," dropped to the center with the grill outline painted the body color, would looks ok. One of my problems with it is that it's at the top of the grill. It's off-center, vertically.

Totally agree. That's the biggest problem I have with it. Not symmetrical. Move it down to the center and it looks fine. Also if wouldn't look so much like a Saturn.

If you are talking about what a person is considering and comparing then it is a fair comparasion. I understand that YOU want the G35 compared to the TL but the truth is many of us as current 1st gen TSX owners are considering the G35 for our next purchase. But you are right, it is not a good comparasion because the Infiniti blows the '09 TSX out of the water.

Strait line acceleration only. The handling is a wash. IMO and the TSX has a much, much nicer looking interior.

TSXinTN...I agree with you, acceleration are numbers and numbers don't lie...so you are 100% right there. That being said, I can see that some people would take less power for a car that looks better to them and offer the comfort and features they like as well. I know I am of the very few who like the 09 almost thru and thru (the grill....Yikes!!) but it didn't stop me from getting an 09 TSX in PWP with a BODY KIT put on but didn't go for the high polished wheel, will keep the stock for the time being. I did decide on the wing spoiler over the lip myself but its all subjective I know....
