18" OEM Chrome Wheels Pricing

Hi all.

Should I swap the 17" with the OEM 18" chrome wheels right when I get the car or should I get them elsewhere later?

How much above the Tech Package price should I add on to my offers if I were to add the 18" OEM wheels?

What's the cheapest place online to get the OEM 18" rims? Roughly how much is it if I want to bring the rims and tires to the dealer for installation?

Sorry I'm a n00b on this =(

Some thing around extra $1500 to $1700 should be fine price for 18" inch chrome balanced and installed with dearler taking 17 inch rims and tire and delivring you 18' Advan sport.

You have to consider Yoko Advan Sport 225/45/18 is far superior tire interms of impressive looks/handling/fuel economy/noise than Stock michellen. Comfort will be about equal. On other hand stock tire has longer life by 1.5 times.
On latest tirerack pricing Advan Sport is $40 more expensive than Stock Michellen.
You have cheaper and longer life tire option like Sumitomo HTR Z 111 (Tirerack Rank #1). It is about $140.
But the problem with that is that if u buy your tires from outside. Dealer will consider it as separate deal. They are mostly interested in exchanging stuff.
There is not much after market for stock tires and rim. once you move the car with it. They sell with use car prices. My dealer was fine with me as drive the car with stock for two weeks before i upgraded to 18inch.

I would pass on the 18" OEM wheels and get an aftermarket set of 19"s. Will look better and possibly cost less too.

My 19" RonJon Legends with tires cost me roughly $2,000 after having the tires mounted and balanced for reference. You wouldn't have to give up your stock 17"s either.

After seeing Derwood's car & how appropriate the 19's look, I would rule out 18's. The 19" RJ's that he has are stronger and probably lighter than the OEM 18's.

(The benefit of lighter wheels is the difference between running a mile in Army boots or tennis shoes.)

19" looks more impressive but i think 18" is right balance between comfort/nosie/handling/fuel economy/tire life. 18" chrome lighter than OEM 17and Advan sport tire is only 23 lbs. and I am getting more mpg thane OEM 17 part of it is car broken down but now winter weather is pretty cold.

19" 245/35/19 Falken is 27.3lbs.
chrome finish on OEM is pretty solid.
so the choice how many miles a year the person is going to drive and driving style.
