0-60 times for 09 TSX?

You posted in the thread that had it. I don't think anyone else has tested it yet.

If you're wondering how it did at the track, it did okay - 0-60 in 7.6 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 15.8@88.5 (it was so consistent I did 3 consecutive 15.8s). The car could definitely do a bit better than that - there were significant grip issues - I was launching at part throttle, just off idle, and then ramping into it - otherwise I would get a lot of wheelspin and/or axle hop. And driving it today, I think the car actually feels stronger now - I performed a 5-60mph run and the performance computer registered 7.2 seconds. I need to analyze the numbers from that run and compare it to one of the 15.8 runs to see how they line up. While it may not be a burner at the strip, on the street this car feels like it has more "everyday" speed to offer than the '08 TSX.

Ask new owners
I guess, there is not big difference between AT & MT , 0-60 times

What month R&T was this? May's had a TSX preview, not a test. If it was tested in the June issue the spec charts that appear at the back only get edited with the acceleration #'s the month AFTER a car was tested. So they should appear in July.

Never mind. I saw in the other thread that you said May issue. You sure you weren't looking at a time for a first gen 6MT? Like I said earlier, those charts only get edited the month after a road test. And the 'new' entry will be in red text.
I'll check it when I get home.

I guess I'm probably one of the two owners of a 2009 TSX whom you're referring to. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to see what the 0-60 time is with the AT. Pretty busy at work lately - not enough time to enjoy the new car. Maybe this weekend...

That review lists the manual at under 7 seconds and the automatic just barely slower. Not specific though.

This is a couple of sources now that have placed the 0-60 below 7 seconds. If this indeed is true then I'm very impressed. Considering the weight gain as well as the HP and torque numbers when compared to the Gen1 I expected a slower car, something in the high 7 territory. If Acura can pull all that off and a sub 7 second 0-60 (6.5 according to Dan Neil of the LA Times) and then color me impressed.

I have to agree. I drive a 03 Accord Coupe V6 which does 0-60 in the 6 second range. I drove the new TSX and there is no way its that fast The difference is night and day. I would believe something in the 8 second range, for the TSX.

The 2009 Acura TSX is also an easy mark for almost any family sedan with a V6, especially when equipped with the five-speed automatic. We tested a TSX with the five-speed and its 0-to-60-mph time fell to 8.6 seconds (8.3 seconds with 1 foot of rollout like on a drag strip). That's slower than all four of the family sedans in our last comparison test which included the Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.
