Widest tires on stock 2003 TL-S wheels.

Hello, I am looking to find out what are the widest tires stock 2003 TL-S wheels can accommodate. Currently, I have the stock 215/55/r17. I am wondering if I can put 235 or 245 on the car.

Thank you.

225 is about the widest you should put on the stock rim.

225 45 17 on my TL-S. Rides amazing Acura shouldve made these OEM! I've seen 235 45 17 but thats pushing it the tire sticks out wayy too much, but you could still pull it off.

Just got 22/45/R17 Kumho Ecsta 4X's put on and it looks and rides much better than the 215's.

I have 225/45/17 on my stock type s rims and I like it. Idk why Honda didn't just do 225/45 from the start..

Because the TL-S rims are only 6.5" wide, and according to tire manufacturers' recommendation, 225/50/17 is the widest compatible tire that can be fit safely on the 6.5" wide rims.

Tire manufacturers recommend a minimum rim width of 7" for almost all makes of 225/45/17 sized tires.

Honda and all auto makers alike, don't like to do unsafe things due to liability issues.

True.... Stick to 225 its been tested and proven. I've seen 235/45 before on stock TL-S rims but cant comment on them though... looks ugly too...
