Wheel/Tire Change...
**ATTENTION** I am thinking of doing a last minute change to my very detailed order that I am about to place. Instead of getting 18x8 42mm Offset with Nankang NS-II Tires 235/40-18, I was going to replace these two items with STERN 18x8.5 Offset says HPO (don't know what that means maybe someone can tell me) with Tire: DELINTE D 7
225/40/18 SR:W TW:340. Please let me know ASAP which I should go with. Remember the more flush the wheels/tires are to the fender the better and that's what I am trying to achieve.

There are some things in life that are not a precise exact science !
This "Flushing" of the rims and tires to the cars fenders falls into this category.
You'll be close, maybe not ultimately perfect.....but what really is ? You don't want to get too close, unless you want to modify the fenders. The car's suspension is going to have to settle in and then you can tweak it from there.
One thing to keep in mind, is that what you're looking at will definitely fill up the wheel wells more than the oem fit. Maybe not perfect, but then......... it's only in your eyes !

If ya did any preliminary research on purchasing custom rims/plus sizing,
this "HPO" designation is a term used for a rim with high positive offset.

How about calling who or where ever you are trying to buy them from and ask them?

Yeah, the optimum explanation of your concerns would be more appropriately answered by the seller of the product which you are considering purchasing from.
If they are unable to fully satisfy your questions, then you may want to look elsewhere for better customer service, IMO. It's a big $ purchase, make them earn their cut of the deal !!!! Best of luck with your business dealing.

Update on Wheels
He all I just wanted to let you all know that I had no choice but to switch my wheels from RUFF RACING R281 to RUFF RACING R355. The only downside is that the RUFF RACING R355 are 18x8 and not 18x8.5. Do you still think these will look alright when I lower my car?
Thanks for your input!

IMO, 1/2 " will have practically no significant appearance difference.....may actually be more forgiving with clearance issues, depending upon the rim's offset and tire width.

How about a F & R profile shot taken from the corners with the entire car sitting on the ground !
It would give us a better idea as to where you're starting from......before lowering.

Starting to shape up......lookin' good ! How's she feel ?
Time for a break, let it settle in. When ya pull the wheels off next time, a little detailing of the exposed brake parts would make the rims
appear even better.
Another thing to consider would be window tinting, which would enhance the overall side appearance and tie in nicely with the dark rims.

Do you have a better side profile (ie looking from the front straight on down the side or straight down) to see how much the front wheel stick out?
