Wheel spacers

Ya don't want to jeopardize your safety. This is a case where larger may not be in your best interest. The lug nuts require being fully secured to the hub's mounting studs for the rims. So, keep spacers to a minimum.....IMO.

If you are on factory type s wheels I don't see an issue with running 10mm-20mm spacers. As long as they're the spacers with extended studs. I've heard one shouldn't run anything larger than 7mm on factory studs, correct me if I'm wrong though.

In order to run spacers properly and safely, you really should get new studs so you can get as many threads on the lug nut as possible. If you're running large enough spacers (15mm+ usually), Ichiba V2's and H&R DRM style spacers should be available. These are the spacers that come with studs on them and don't require you to replace your stock studs.
We can't recommend a spacer size, you have to measure how much of a spacer you need in order to get the wheels as close to flush as possible without rubbing.

I've been running 8mm spacers in the rear for a while now with stock studs. I've even ran the car fast up to 120. Just properly torque them down.
