What lowering springs should I go with?

I am wondering what lowering springs i should use to lower my car about an inch to an inch and a half. I was wondering what some of the best ones to use were and were can i get a great deal on them.

Id suggest searching around a little to see what people recommend but in short H&R springs Eibach, or Tein. I prefer H&R

I havent read any one saying they are shitty. Just most prefer the H&R. H&R does make a better spring, but there is nothing wrong with Eibach. The Eibach just happens to be slightly lower than H&R sport.
Upgrading shocks always helps too.

H&R's are great, Eibachs are just as good. Don't go teins like everybody else.

You will probably end up wearing out or blowing your shock... it is recommended that you replace your shocks when you get new springs

Most people strongly recommend shocks as well when you do your springs. I do know there are several on here that are running stock shocks and lowering springs.

The way I look at it is my car is ~6 years old now, so Im not taking the chance on spending all that time and money just to have the stock shocks go bad and have to do it all over again. You should spend the extra coin and get shocks as well

I was on stock shocks with my mild drop (H&R Sport) for two years (previous owner installed), and I thought they were fine too, but once I got my new Tokico HPs in I realized what I had been missing! Ride is sooo much more comfortable now and my TL-S handles alot better. It's true what others have said that you can't tell that the ride with your stock shocks have degraded because it happens gradually, over time.

its a very common misconception.

sure it puts more pressure on the stock shocks... but unless your driving like burt reynolds or the dukes of hazzard then they wont blow out because of springs...

and if they were already going bad or faulty..

ive done 4+ years on 2.5 inch drop... stock shocks'

I had Eibach on for a month and I had to change them to H&R. The ride on H&R is a lot smoother and very good handlling. Much better than Eibach. It's just my personal preference.

What was the problems with Eibach? And which H&R springs did you go with?

H&R's FTW. I love em. Eibachs aren't bad, they make some great products. My cousin had them on his accord felt similar to my H&R sports.

ok, I got the tein s techs and blues on, rides a lot smoother than before, had 114k miles on original shocks. Just going down the street seems a lot smoother, turning. and the bitch looks hot slammed, especially in the back because I have 2 12s. I'm sure once the front settles, there is gonna be a less of a gap in the front. The ride hits the bumps a little stiffer than I want, but everything else is so smooth.

Only thing though when I was reinstalling, I broke the bolt that connects the strut/shock to the stabilizer? that long bolt, so I had to disconnect the stabilizer on the drivers side. Now I gotta order this part, the plate that connects the 2, cuz the end of the bolt snapped in it.

Quick question, Im thinking im gonna go with eibachs, had em on my other car and love em. But if I wanted to replace shocks could I get some autozone or kragen brand shocks instead of these other shock set ups? Or is my ignorance just showing? lol
