What to do about tires

I'm running the stock size michelins on my TL-P. As it stands, all 4 tires are different ages!

I just got my tires rotated and this is how they stand right now:

1 rear tire is pretty worn and really should be replaced.
1 rear tire is about 50% worn.

1 front tire is very new. Changed in August, it has only 8k of mostly highway miles.
1 front tire is new, but not as new as the other. 10k miles. I was told it needed to be replaced since it has a "plug" in the sidewall. (temporary tire fix after a flat)

I really wanted to change my tires to a different brand and sizing all together (225/55/16), but that would mean changing all 4 tires at once. I don't have the money for that right now, and it feels like a real waste of the tires that are ok.

Does anyone have an economical solution to this? Thanks.

Take the 2 front tires and sell them. With only 8-10k miles on them they should look fairly new. Post "for sale" ads here, eBay, grocery store bulletin board, local paper to advertise them. Even if you sell them for cheap you at least can recoop some $$'s to apply to the new tires.
As for the rear ones, use the one with 50% as a spare.

Bummer your tires are all different wear amounts. But they say you should buy tires in pairs (and keep the new ones in the rear ... FWD or RWD). I'd agree with Lawaia -- sell the front pairs, even at a big discount -- and get yourself a decent set of 4 tires. Do a search on tirerack or whatnot -- get a decent set of tires (shouldn't be anymore than $500 installed -- Yokohama V4S or Kumho ECSTA HP4 716, for example) and forget about it. It's winter and you don't want to get stuck or lose control on the roads ...

sell the headers and intake would give you money for the tires~

you can trade in the tires when u buy new tires, but they don't worth a lot, probably 100

Well... as luck would have it, I got a nail in the sidewall of the newest tire.. so now I need 3 new tires. This must be a sign.. time to replace all 4!

The stock Michelins are waaay too expensive for what they are. I've decided to go with the the wider 225/55/16 Yokohama Avid V4s. Thanks for all the input!
