What is the cause for "grooves" in rotors
another post reminded me i wanted to ask this qeustion, what causes the grooves in rotors. mine have been getting progresivly more "grooved". i just got these around 5 months ago. the ones in my rears are horrible, but they are stock and need to be replaced as they are warped and rusty.

Burning Brakes
it can be caused by hard spots on the pad, debris that gets caught in between the rotor and pad, etc. slight grooves/waves are ok and normal. if they get deeper, you may need to cut the rotors and get new pads. if they get bad it can also make the brakes noisier
from your pics, yours seem fine
