They dont fit snugly put it that way. they'll fit but you'll rub like a motha if you put anyone in the back and you can put a significant drop on it without rubbing and I think the CL can go just a tad bit wider than the TL for some strange reason.

He's on skunk 2 coilovers and rubs like a mofo

I run 19x8 +40 with no stretched tire and no negative camber and no rubs here! I did roll fenders and cut tabs.

Rears only. Fronts are not neccessary, there is plenty of room up front. Plus, I have never known anyone to roll front fenders.

I agree partially. Its dumb to stretch tires for 18s on a TL. lol 18s aren't big for a TL, and if he is going VIP, 18s aren't cutting it. Nice car, but the wheels need to be 19s for VIP. Stretched tires only look good on big wheels.

you can run weak offsets and be within your comfort zone if you want, but its perfectly fine to run those offsets and sizes. im guessing you are on +48 and 17's with 7.5 width lol

Mine are 18x7.5 +38 225/40/18 and i barely ever rub in the back. I cut tabs and rolled fenders and my car is slammed. The only time it rubs is in the back when I hit a big bump or if I have 2 or more ppl in the car and I'm pulling up at a slant.

Don't be scared/worried like most people here. You could do it but it will take a little more work to make it happen.

hahaha... Not

Guess again!

Oh and its not a matter of being in your comfort zone, its a matter of what fits. Some dont want to have rubberbands wrapped on their rims, some dont want or like the stretched look, not every one wants to run negative camber, and others dont want to trim or roll any thing.
I can from personal experience tell you that a 18x8 +38 will not fit on my car. No amount of rolling fenders will help it either.

Of course not everyone wants to deal with all that stuff, but it is his choice. You CAN make those wheels fit fine and have good alignment but you would also have to go through a lot of trouble for them not to rub. It's all about personal preference.

Like I said , my wheels are 18x7.5 +38 which is half an inch wider than those rims you mentioned, and guess what... they fit lol. With 225/40 tires and some rolling/cutting, they fit just fine.

i dont think dealing with rolling and cutting is any trouble to get the perfect flush look on your car.

any less than flush is... =/

When you guys say 'rolled fender' what do you guys mean? Any pictures to make it clearer? And which tabs do we cut in the back?

Well considering they stuck out close to half an inch no amount of rolling would get them to fit. I tried them, i measured them. I know that they DONT/WONT fit. Sure maybe a 205 stretched may clear it with a good deal of camber but i want practicality and handling, not to mention something that looks good. That would not be it.

Ill stick with the 18x8+50 with a 225/40 (235 in the spring) for a perfect fit.

My next set of wheels will be 18x8 +45. I just wanted something different and the wheels I want to buy now have just a bit higher offset.
