I've got a buddy offering me a set of Ecsta MX tires, 225/40/18. They were used for about 1 month, 1100 miles.

I think he paid like 140 per tire new. He's offering me 110 each. Is this a good price? I don't know the first thing about used tire prices.

If I were you, check inside the threads to see if it has been driven on with a flat. The inside side walls will be shreaded a little and see if it ever had a flat fixed.

Damn, I was getting rid of my 225/40/18 toyo fz4's for like $45 a piece. and it has about a 1/4 inch thread left. See the black market.

used tires don't worth that much

they depreciate quickly since you put them on, so 110 is a little bit too much

i would say 80 each, 300 a set would be fair

that's about the same price on ebay

 

You might want to check and see if the warranty is transferrable. Either way the price sounds high for a used tire.
