Urgent PLEASE HELP. EBAY Auction ending soon

So i have somehow managed to bend all four of my rims over a year and a half, and instead of getting new factory rims i'd like to get a cheaper set of aftermarket rims. I have spoke to the techs at my dealership and apparently no one there can tell me what sizes will fit my car. I have an 03 TL-S and i want to make sure the rims i am looking at buying wont have any fitment problems. The size is as follows:

Bolt Pattern: 5x100 or 5x114.3

Size: 17"x7"

Offset: +48mm

I know the bolt pattern and size match the stock rims, it's just the offset im worried about. Also the dealership mentioned that i should make sure the rims wont be hitting the brake calipers. The auction is ending in an hour and i'd really like to be sure about this before buying them. I'd really appreciate any help you guys could give me. Thanks

yeah, i read that but it doesn't really tell me if they will fit or not. Another question. The higher offset on these rims means it will push them out further, right?

higher the offset the more it moves in toward the hub. the lower it stick out away from the car more. you should be able to go +45 and higher with no issues. i think 42 is the min u can go with a 7" rim to not rub the tabs/fender. so for 7" +42 to +48 is just fine. if you can get a 17x7.5 @ +45 to +48 you will fill out the wheel well nicer with a 225(for +45) or 235( for +48) tire and get better performance.

It sure does tell. No, the higher the offset the more it will be in. The lower the offset the more it will be pushed out causing rubbing. The closer you can stay to the stock +55 the better. +48 is good

OK, i get it now. The way i was asking i meant that the hgher the offset the further out the lip will be from the spokes, which i think is what you guys are telling me, except just talking about a higher offset pushing the spokes in further. Well i bought the rims either way. When i get them and put them on the car i'll let you guys know how they fit. Thanks for all the help. Also, the acura dealer was talking to me about the rims hitting the brake calipers, if they were to do that putting on spacers would fix that problem right?

"IF" it does, you should have the room for up to 5mm spacers approximately if needed. you should be fine tho.

Yeah, 5mm spacers will be OK. You may want spacers anyway to fill out the wheel well. Just make sure you get at least 5-6 turns on the lugs. Less than that and the lug might not thread enough into the hub. Not enough means friction could/would eventually loosen them (something a wheel shop told me.)

Also, do the new rims require tuner lugs? Our OE lugs are pretty big and may not work with your new wheels.

What we are trying to explain has nothing to do with how far the lip will be from the spokes. Offset is the spacing from the center line of the wheel to the hub (as that is usually due to the wheel design, but you will typically see more lip on lower offset wheels). (we have positive +55mm offset)
