tokico blue struts question
first off i am new to acurazine, and i was just wondering if there was a difference between the base 2000 tl shocks vs the 2000 tl-s. I noticed that excelerate performance offers tokico blue struts that fits the tl-s. will this particular set fit the base model?

oh and if anyone is still reading this thread,
Why is it that when you replace the struts, the springs dont need to be replaced? i thought the springs wear down over time as well...
and.. Why does replacing different springs damage reused struts?

struts wear out.. springs dont necessarily go "out" like struts do. therefor lasting much longer.
when you swap out springs on the other hand. depending on what kind you pick up. may put more stress on the struts then they are used to/made for. or just simply it may be time to replace the struts as they are getting about that age on our cars.
ps. i noticed you had 2000 TL-S in your OP
the Type S began production on the 2002 models and was made from 2002-2003.
99-01 models only came in TL-P or (premium) trims
just some FYI for the future

The main reason shocks wear out with lower springs on them is that the stock or older shocks arent designed for the lowered use.
And like stated above the TL-S wasnt made till 2002
