Toe vs. Camber question

O.K., before anyone jumps on me, i've done quite a bit of reading here in the suspension forum (it has helped). My 02 TL-S is lowered on Eiback pro springs which are 1.75" in front and 1.5" in rear if I remember right. I've chewed through a set of tires in about 12k miles. The inside of all four have worn through badly. I THOUGHT I needed a camber kit. After reading here, i'm wondering if all I might need is a TOE adjustment. My shop printed out the specs at no charge, and my toe is out on three of four tires. -.35 LF, -.19 RF, +.22 LR, and A good .08 RR. I did have the car aligned after lowering but i'm not sure if they corrected the toe right. Any thoughts? Thanks all!

Cool, I was hoping that might save me some $$ on a camber kit. My -camber is not to bad according to what i'm reading here. -.5 LF Good, -1.2 RF barely bad, -1.5 LR bad, -2 RR bad. But others here are posting worse w/o the bad tire wear.

IS THE TOE ADJUSTABLE ON ALL FOUR WHEELS W/ STOCK SETUP?

Yes, Toe is adjustable on all four..I'm pretty sure...its the camber that has some very low tolerances for adjustment

did you get the allignment right after lowering?
an alignment shop should have fixed your toe to the best they can so i'd try to get another alignment and if its still not good then you'll have to bite the bullet and pick up a camber kit.

The alignment was right after lowering but it's been a while since I lowered the car and had the original alignment done so I don't remember the exact specs. I trusted the dealer to do the job right. After the tires got killed, i'm using another shop and got the preliminary specs listed above. The toe may never have been right from the beginning. I'm thinking i'll buy new tires/alignment and make sure they adjust the toe properly. If I still see wear happening too soon, camber kit time.

sounds like a good plan
and as future advice: you should always wait 2-4 weeks after lowering to get the alignment. this time allows the car to settle especially if you bought the springs and/or shocks new.

Excellent advice. I don't think I did that. Probably got it aligned within a week (less than 50 miles) or so.

Like i said before, Toe will kill 100x faster than - camber. Get the toe fixed and it will allow the tires to last much longer and wear better.

O.K. got the car aligned & new tires. Camber is still as it was. Not good but not too bad either. The toe is now dead on. Road noise is way down from before, car handles better, steering does not try to pull either direction and best of all, an annoying vibration I had in the steering wheel is GONE!! Thanks all!

This also bears mentioning: My original alignment was done by an Acura dealer. A friend said the dealer will only set the car to original alignment specs not accounting for the lowering springs. Soooo.. My car may not have been right from the beginning.
