Tires To Wheels

I didn't know that the 3rd gen wheel was so wide (17X8) & stock tires were 235/45/R17. I would love to find a 3rd gen wheel/tire package for cheap, but separate is too expensive for me. So my question is will a 205/50/R17 tire fit a 17X7 wheel or will it stick out a bit?

I've got 225/45R17 on my 3g wheels. Looks great. I've got the Kumho Ecsta 4x on there I think I paid $440 shipped for the tires.

I've had the rims for a while, but I bought them from someone I knew for $150 (they were in bad shape) but had them fixed and powdercoated.

the rear rubs a bit, but I need to get it rolled back there.

If you meant 17x8, this is what 205/50 on 17x8 looks like

What you are thinking of is called tire stretching, and it will fit. There are cases where people even go extreme with the stretch to a point where it just becomes dangerous, but you will be fine.

I meant 215s, not 205s. Are those really 205s? They look like 215s.
