Tire Size For 19x8 w/ +45 Offset?

I just placed another order for 19x8 with +45 offset wheels and wanted to go 225/35/19 for my tires, but the guy at the shop insisted I go with 235/35/19.

He told me the tires might not cover the endge of the rims properly if I go with 225/35/19. If that is true, then that'll be real ugly. I also have Comptech Sport Springs so I would hate to increase the chance of rubbing if I go 235/35/19.

Do you guys think I'll be alright with 225/35/19 tires or would 235/35/19 tires be a better option?

Thanks.

The recommended (or ideal) wheel width for 225/35's would be 8". Not sure who you're buying these from but I suggest you RUN, not walk away from them as they don't know much about fitment.
FWIW - 8" +45 is on the extreme end - be ready to deal with rubbing when you get them on.

225 to be safe but 235 will work also.

im running 18x8 and 18x9 (rear fender needs to be rolled) with 235/40/18 all around with no problem.

I'm thinking that you'll rub without rolling your fenders. But on the safe side I would go with 225/35. If you go with a higher offset I'd go with 235/35.

Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated. I will go with 225/35/19 setup to play it safe then. I hope to hell I don't rub because I wouldn't know what to do.
