TeinSS owners - does your front suspension squeak

It sounds like rubber rubbing against something. It almost sounds like it's coming from the center of the dash.

Anyone have this issue. It's only really noticeable at low speeds.

What are the causes of the squeaks up front or in the rear? It doesnt seem anyone has a solution.

Whenever I go over a bump, the front driver side makes a squishy noise.

yea man, the front squishing noise might be the plastic bbot that came with the coilovers. I'm having alot of noise from my rear. I know the ball joint on the spc camber is dried up and cracking. I just bought energy suspension bushings for the rear sway b/c the bar slides back and forth. If that doesn/t work, I'm getting the ingalls rear camber, and that better fix it!!

I used to get some squeeking on my IS300 when I first installed the suspension.. It slowly went away.. (after my road trip to California..) I don't know how long you've had yours but it might go away soon enough?

I think I'm gonna (as soon as it stops freaking raining) remove the front sway bar bushings and wrap them with teflon tape and see if it helps.

Either that or pull the front coilovers out and check em out. Maybe I need to put coil isolators on the lower coils. Luckily I saved the ones from my Comptechs (they're a little big, but I can get them to work)

I had that noise and I sprayed my coilovers with lithium grease and it went away.I'm getting squeeks now. Need to clean my coilovers. I don't have isolators and I don't have the teflon tape on my front swaybar. Try spraying the strut mount on top of the springs. The spring seat is aluminum, it wouldn't make a rubber sound.

Thanks 99TLHeather, I'll give that a shot first. Quick easy fixes are the best ones.

I just ordered some H&R springs but was concerned about the possibility of squeeking. Does the rubber boot that goes on the spring prevent the noise?

sorry to bring this thread back but I had a sound coming from my left rear when i went over slow bumps that sort of made a sound like something was loose. I took my car to the dealership and they said it was a loose nut on the swaybar. they tightened it and now i have no sound at all. smooth sailing
