i was wondering if you could unplug the unit after it has been installed? i got it installed but it needs to be mounted. so i need to unplug it so i can re-direct the wires. and the only way to do that is to unplug it.

You will lose your memory settings if power is removed from the control unit.

^^ What he said.

But other than that, it's fine. Every time it boots up (not powering up, like at every engine start) after a power loss or a shut down, it resets itself.

ok, also i have a prob. after i got this installed, i have a clifford rsx3.5 alarm and now my led in my car stays on constantly when i open my door. And then when as soon as i shut my door the parking lights flash every 10 seconds and the edfc unit goes beeeeeeppppp with the parking lights. I know they mis wired or screwed up somehwere in the installation.

does anyone have any clue what they could have done? i got the feeling they forgot to connect somewire back from the alarm and maybe crossed wires somewhere. damn i mean i have to wait till monday to get this fixed jesus christ.

and when i exit the car,and wait about 5 seconds it beeps and parking lights flash with it. Every 5 seconds untill i unplug the power to the edfc unit. what is going on?

It sounds like you have a ground loop problem. Chances are they tapped into the ground which is connected to the interior dome lights. Best thing to do is take it back to the installer and let them troubleshoot the problem.

will that also cause the edfc unit not to be able to go back to a memory setting? the fronts work fine but the rear says ee.
