Tanabe coilovers
Anyone have experience with these Tanabe coilovers?
Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC
Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC Type II
How do they compare to the Teins, ie softer, firmer, etc?
BTW I have an 03 TL-S. Thanks.

I'm looking to lower the car around 1.5" and trying to keep the ride soft as possible so I think this will be a good option. Looking at there website the difference between the 2 seem to be the "helper spring" since I'm going for a softer ride should I go with this model or will the Type II still provide me with what I'm looking for? Does the "helper spring" make a big difference?
I am assuming both models are height and dampening adjustable?
Thanks for the reply.

i have tanabe nf210s and tokico blue shocks. rides great, about smooth as stock type s but better planted. the drop is about 1.5 inches. fills the wheel well with out looking dumped.

i have the tein basic and god it feels like my shocks are made of solid steel. im feeling every bumb and it's hecka stiff. i think it might be the mechanic adjusting my coilovers wrong.
or if it isnt, then yeah, it's hecka stiff

Helper Springs
Helper springs assist with rebound stability, ride comfort and keep the main coil spring seated. Preload of the main spring can also be set to zero, for maximum comfort and suspension travel.
Basically it keeps the main spring planted so it can do its job without moving significantly as you go over bumps or aggressive turns.
