Stretched Tires--What psi are you running?

right now i'm running slight stretch of 225/40 on 18x9 and wondering what psi other folks with stretched tires are running.

i currently have the front @ 35 psi and the rear @ 40 and ride is a bit rough, wondering if it's safe to do 30 psi F/R?

its all dependent on what kind of tire, what your goals are, how long do you want them to last, etc.

if they are under inflated, they will wear funny.
if they are over inflated, they will wear funny.

if they are under inflated, it wont perform well.
if they are over inflated, it wont perform well.

etc.

since you are running aggressive wheels, you need to be constantly checking your tires.
so, in your case, you'll need to find that perfect balance of wear, performance, and looks.

I have my summer tires set at 32 to almost 33 cold.
when heated they rise to 37psi, which is the optimum pressure for traction for that specific tire.

hmm...

i have 4 new Primewell PZ900 that i picked up on the fly when i needed tires recently. they're not aggressive in my opinion.

i'm not looking for any performance, jus looking for a bit of comfort and hopefully safety. i'm worried about putting them at 30 psi and going around a corner and suddenly have them dismount themselves hah if that's possible

30psi cold will heat up!
Remember, tires are about traction, first.
the looks of a stretched tire comes 2nd, in my opinion. I would always always prefer safety over looks.
if cold or not enough tire pressure, your tires will not grab traction.
if too hot or too much pressure, your tires will not grab traction.
this is why most auto manufactures post a plaque on the inside of your drivers door, stating tire pressure.
usually its like 32 /33 cold. or somewhere in this range.

you'll need to find your perfect balance by playing with air pressure.
remember to always mess with air pressure when tires are cold. this means the car hasnt been driven for at least 4 hours.

You guys know better then to super over-stretch your tires, not always good !
All total show will sacrifice safety and handling, IMO. Ya can't get it all.

^^DAMN DAT STANCE

lol i love that stretch, my previous tires stretched like that i believe they were Hankook's but they were 225/40. the sidewall on my current tires have some curb protection sidewall blah blah so the stretch doesn't look aggressive even though same size.
