SSR Vienna Sovereign

I just got my wheels in (SSR Vienna Sovereign
19 x 8 +49 offset) and now I think I might need some tires. I have a set of Falken FK 451 245/35/R19. I was wondering if I will be having any rubbing issues with these tires. The car is not dropped at the moment, but will be in the spring. I might go with H&R's or tein coilovers. Let me know what you guys thing. Thanks

Yo E, I think your better off going with the 235/35 setup, this setup is basically guaranteed to fix perfect with the size and offset of your wheels.

Yeah man I think I might go ahead put these tires for sale and get me some 235's. What kind of tires should I get? I dont want to spend $1000 for a set. I was thinking around $600
Maybe even look on ebay and get a good deal. What do you think?

i have the same rims, i have 235 on them right now, but if I had to choice I would go with 225 to slam with no rubs.

I personally like the 225 tire on a 8" more then 235, you could do either or, whatever you want.

235's look good on 8.5"s but with 8"s U gotta go with 225's FOsure!!!

BTW those 245's would look ridiculous.

It's your turn to find out and let us know. Tires and wheels of different brands don't always measure the same, especially with tires which can differ by 1/4" wide even if they have the same width labels. So unless someone has installed the exact wheel/tire combination as what you have now, no one can give you the exact answer whether you will rub or not. They can only guess.

Now I live in NJ, We have those wonderful streets that are as smooth as the moons surface. So I wanted to have some kind of protection on the rims. I also go to NYC and everyone who lives on the east cost know how those streets are. So I am thinking about going better with the 235's.

I got 235/35/19 on my TLs with 19x8 45 offset wheels. I had to trim my tabs, but you shouldn't have to. My Falken Azenis tires have an angled tire shoulder and the Falken website states it is to help accomodate tight fits to reduce chance of rubbing. I know there are good tires out there, the Azenis are ok, but I don't like directional tires. They came with the wheels I bought from a fellow AZ member. I would look for a tire that has that angled shoulder. The 235 size is a perfect match for the rolling diameter of our stock combination. You may be able to pull off 245, but it would be a gamble

im running the 235/35s on mines. i personally like the General Exclaim UHPs. they are a cheap tire but has so much positives. i dont have anything negative to say about them. even though many would say no to general, the UHPs are made by continential. they are awsome tire. grip well and has a 380 treadware for 120 or less. i got mines from discount tire with the tirerack price for 220 for two mounted up. i have the nitto 555 on the rear. i personally dont like the 555 but they had good life left so im just using them till they go and switch them to the generals. but my set up is a 19x8 with +51. the generals have good sidewall and i personally like them. but its up to you what you want out of a tire.
