spring compressors
i am just looking to lower my front end about an inch. i heard spring compressors will definately do the trick and for about four bucks. does anyone know of a website to get them.

Spring compressors are used to compress the springs when you disassemble the strut assembly so that the spring won't pop out and hit you.
If you're thinking about compressing the spring for a lower ride... then that is the dumbest idea on the planet.

now now, lets help the guy out. If you want to lower your car, you can either get: aftermarket springs, shocks+springs, or coilovers. And yes, spring compressor is used to compress the spring so you can safelty remove the top hat.

i actually saw what you are talking about last week, but can't seem to find it. it might have been summitracing, eastwood or jegs website. it's basically two "V" brackets with a long threaded bar and end nuts. obviously, it's something no one has tried and it's frowned upon...so you are on your own.
