Something wrong after changing sway bar linkage

2003 TL S and noticed that my passenger sway bar linkage was broken. So cussed for about 2 hours and got it off, replacing it with a Moog link. It seemed like everything was great on the first test ride and I have not jacked it back up to see what the problem is, but I've sorta looked from the ground but can't really tell. Here is what is happening, I first noticed it when I came to a stop put it in reverse and turned the wheel, the tire rubbed the wheel well. It seems I have no forward or aft stabilization. When I am parked I notice that my front right tire is closer to the aft part of the well and not centered like my driver sideand this distance varies. What did I do now? I don't notice this on freeway or anything, except I bet if I hit the brakes super hard, my tire would pin itself to the back of front well. Help?

Your issue has nothing to do with the sway bar end links. I tire that is out of position in the wheel well, or one that has forward/backward movement is usually due to bad radius rod bushings. (part 10 & 11 below) (part 6&8 being the radius rods)

Thanks, I will take a look at it. It is just strangely coincidental that I noticed it at the end of my test drive after installing the new sway bar linkage. I will take a close look at it, I know at least where to look now. Is this something I can easily change out myself? And if I just change out the bushings it should just go back to center, correct? without adjustment?

Yea, purely coincidental, unless it was there before but you didnt notice it. There is NOTHING you could have done to cause it by changing out the endlinks. Yes, you can do it. Its really easy, and there is no adjustment to worry about.

Found the problem, my # 25 nut was about 1.5 revolutions from coming off. I could spin it by hand. Photos are sideways, sorry.

These photos are sideways??? Anyway, I just tightened it the same depth as the driver side, which was about as tight as it would get. That could have been ugly while driving if that would have come undone, right?

This photo is after tightening.

The photo above? No that isnt sideways.

As for tightening it, it gets tightened all the way (well a specific torque, which i dont have near me right now)

If that came undone your wheel would have most likely slammed into your foot well area and control would have been reduced. It is the link that holds the lower arm in place.
