Are there any tires with a shorter maybe even low profile height that someone would recommend on stock 2000 tl wheels? that would be awesome, thanks!

the wheel gap would be huge, all you need to do is reduce the second number on the tire though and itll decread the sidewall/

Why reduce the sidewall? You will be throwing off your speedo, and gain even more wheel gap. Stick with the stock size, 215/55 or 225/50 or 55.

most people try and reduce wheel well gap, and you are trying to increase it
other than what Kris mentioned, you will also get a rougher ride
stick with what the dealer recommends if you are keeping the oem wheels
