Shocks & Springs

My car is now 131k miles on what I think is original shocks & springs..... I'm not really planning to drop or looking for anything expensive as I have other important parts to sort out... I'm planning on getting KYB Gr2s but not sure what springs to pair them with . I'm just trying to keep it stock for now as a daily driver.

Any suggestions on springs?

Why do you feel the need to replace the coil springs?

Sorry for the late response.. had some doctor appointments.. Anyhow I'm not quite sure what to say about the springs needing change.. I was only going by the fact they are 131,000 miles old.. I dont really hear squeaking or stuff like that... I just happened to come across a article saying its a good practice to change the coil springs along with the shocks if they have been on the car for a while..

From my vision I can't really see any sag but the fact that almost every bump I go over I can hear the rear shocks bottom out for the past 5k miles..(Doctor bills) . So I'm thinking it may have somewhat worn the springs?

The springs rarely go bad or need to be replaced. I would just change out the shocks or go with coilovers if you plan on doing it yourself.

Coil Spring

I purchased a set of KYBs GR2. a few months because because I felt what seem to be my rear shocks/strut bottom out... I never got around to installing them because of medical reasons.. I was driving really short distances with it or my brother truck since... My car now has 132k miles on it and I'm not sure if the previous owner changed the suspension parts before i bought it at 112k...

Recently though since winter stated and it's been extremely cold... Yesterday coming from the doctor I heard creaking from the front when driving on the rough road or I go over bumps. I got home and did a bouce test and I hear the creaking again.. I took it up the block and did a braking test to see if the front dipped and it didn't.

I asked before on here but didn't get a straight answer..... 1. Could it be dry bushings from the cold weather where I could use Shin Etsu grease on it and what parts do I grease (control arms, tie roads) ?

or 2. Should I get new springs being that I'm at 132k miles or can I reuse the old ones, and what springs do you recommend for stock height or close if I have to replace?

And btw. Has anyone ever used Detroit Axle quick struts?

Thanks.

Springs don't go bad as often as the shocks themselves. I'd just re-use the OEM ones.

Thanks.

I merged all your old threads into your new one so there's context.

I've never really seen springs where out. Saw more than one that had broken but never worn out. Not at 130,000 miles.
I would keep the spring unless you're looking to change the handling/ride or height.
