Ramp Clearence

Arite, I been wonderin this for awhile:

For those who have a OEM front lip + H&R Sports + TL-S/CL-S rims, can you guys clear those small little ramps that you ride on to get under the car (to like change your oil)? Or does the front lip scrape and not allow to get up on them?

My suggestion is just to get a good jack and some jack stands. unless you also drive a truck or really heavy vehicle I wouldnt use ramps. they may be just a little too steep and who knows you could scratch the bottom of your lip.

my ramps came with hard plastic "starter" blocks to slowly lift the front end to clear the metal ramp as much as possible. you can substitute with wood planks of various thickness and lengths until you get to the point that it will clear. however it still may rub if you are too low.

I have an H&R drop and I got the black "Rhino Ramps" that I bought from either Checker or Auto Zone, can't remember. I use them all the time to change oil, tranny fluid and most recently my 3000K HID Fog light install when I had to remove the bumper.

The ramps work great! Obviously, make sure you are on a level surface and every once in a while, I have to slightly lift up on my front bumper for the ramps to butt up against the tire before I drive up on them.
