Painted my Calipers today

I've been mostly lurking here for a while, but I finally decided to paint my brake calipers today. I have a 2002 TL-S in ABP, and decided to try the dupli-color blue paint kit. It turned out pretty good. I have some before/after pictures here if anyone is interested. It is definitely a lot lighter blue than the body color, but I still like it.

I also ordered some Eibach sways last night, so perhaps next weekend or the weekend after that I'll be jacking the car up again and installing them.
I'm thinking about having the windows tinted after that, then maybe springs.

Again, The pictures are here

Good job - not sure about the colour choice though

What did you use to prep the calipers? I want to do mine, but they are pretty rusty/dirty and don't really come clean short of sanding them.

I used the cleaner that came with the kit. I guess we'll see how well it worked after a few months have gone by. I hardly made a dent in the can of paint so I can always do it again if I need to.

I was going to choose black but they didn't carry it at the place I went so I decided to go with the blue which was my original choice. I figure at least now other people considering the dupli color brush on blue kit can see what it looks like and make a more informed choice than I was able to. I wish it was darker, but I think it definitely looks better than without any paint on it.

looks cool. have you thought of using ABP paint on them? i wonder how that would look. i doubt that paint would be heat resistant tho. i didnt even prep mine at all. used a wire brush to remove surface dust and just sprayed it. nobody is going to look that close to them and realize that the paint is slightly uneven or something. good job tho!!!

Yeah it would be nice if it was the same color as the car, but unless someone knows a way to make any paint withstand high temperatures I don't think it'll work. I used the cleaner that came with it plus a tooth brush. I figure the blue will be a bit darker once it starts getting dusty anyway
