Offset ?
The wheels I want to get are 18 x 7.5 +48. I used a wheel offset calculator here and it said that I would have 20mm more towards the front and 6mm less between the wheel & strut housing while with a +45 offset it would be 23mm & 3mm respectively. Now my question is, if I drop the car say 2-2.5" will I have issues with rubbing towards the rear. I just want to get this right and I don't want to roll the fenders.
20mm=0.7874inch
6mm=0.2362
23mm=0.9055
3mm=0.1181
Here's the wheel
20mm=0.7874inch
6mm=0.2362
23mm=0.9055
3mm=0.1181
Here's the wheel

Stock is +55 you wont have any problem on the inside. A 2-2.5 is a big drop. you shouldnt have any issues with a +48 you may have to trim the rear bumper tabs

Sorry for hijacking this thread but my question is along the same lines
I was wondering if a set of rims 17x7.5 with 48mm offset mounted with 235/45/17 tires would rub on stock height. Someone else on this forum has the same rims with the same tire size and rubs once in while with ppl in the backseats but he has a 45mm offset. I am debating if I should get 225/50/17 or some other tire. Any suggestions?
