New Wheels and Tires Help

I am just about to buy new wheels and tires because I am lowering my car. Here is what I have placed in the cart and I wanted to know if the wheels and tires will be flush to the body of the car.

Size:
Wheels: Vision Shockwave 239 FWD (17x7)
Tires: Kumho Ecsta AST (235/45R-17)

Please let me know if they will be flush to the body of the car. Also if you don't understand what I mean please let me know and I will try and explain myself a little better.

I want the edge of the wheel to be flush with the wheel hub. I am not totally sure how to word it but if you were to show me pictures I would be able to pick it out.

I have not lowered my car yet. This is all pre-questions before I place my order because I want to make sure that this will look flush when it is all installed.

well..

post an example of the type of flush you're trying to achieve.. that'd be easier..

and if you want flush..

i'd go with something wider and up a size to 18s

Yeah, ^^~^^ ....I agree, get 18's.
Check the 2nd Gen "Photograph Gallery" for the best way of visualizing what others have done to achieve a lowered flush appearance of the rims to the body.

18x9 +38 is flush in the front when lowered based on my own personal experience. someone else will have to chime in about rear flush fitment, my rear fenders were pulled so i can't say.

based on 18x9 +38, use this calculator to figure out your own setup that you want to do.

Okay thanks for your assistance. I have upgraded my cart to 18x8 42mm offset Wheels and 235/40-18 Tires. This is the best that I could find in the style I like.
Brand:
Vision Shockwave 539-

nankang..... poop tires...

well, if you do 18x8 +42.. it still would sit a bit in after you lower your car a good amount..

Would the amount be noticeable when lowered or only when you look at a certain angle. The only reason that I am not willing to change the brand of the wheels is because I am getting an excellent deal on them and this is the biggest that they offer. (18x8 42mm offset)

As far as tires these are the best I could find within my price range and a pop tire is not a huge issue for me.

So will these wheels and tires look good once my car has been lowered and I don't know how low I want to go yet. That was going to be my next topic/question.
I am getting the Tein Street Basis Coilover complete system. If you know how low I should go on the Front and Rear please let me know because I will need to tell the Shop when I get there.

Thanks!

Do you know precisely how many inches I should lower to? I just ask because I will need to tell the shop how low I want my car to be lowered. Also I will need to know how stiff I should get it.

In addition to his question... the higher the offset, the more the wheels stick out right? I'm looking at some Katana RC10s 18X8 45 offset & the same coils as the other guy. Looking to drop it about 2.2in in front and rear. Yay or nay?

Your front drop ideally will be a bit lower than the rear !

All depends on the final choice of rims & tires.....along with the "look" that you desire. Some really slam them a bit more than necessary, but must be willing to sacrifice the overall ride feeling becoming somewhat harsher.

You have it backwards, the higher the offset the further in it is. Stock is a +55. the lower the offset the further out it will stick.

Ohhhhhhhhhh that changes things a bit. SO I am about to buy 18x8 42 offset wheels and 235/40-18 Tires. Once lowered will it now fit flush to the finders of the car?

**ATTENTION** I am thinking of doing a last minute change to my very detailed order that I am about to place. Instead of getting 18x8 42mm Offset with Nankang NS-II Tires 235/40-18, I was going to replace these two items with STERN 18x8.5 Offset says HPO (don't know what that means maybe someone can tell me) with Tire: DELINTE D 7
225/40/18 SR:W TW:340. Please let me know ASAP which I should go with. Remember the more flush the wheels/tires are to the fender the better and that's what I am trying to achieve.
