Question Need help...are Falken Azenis ST 115 any good?

I am planning to purchase some new tires soon and I was looking at the Falken Azenis ST 115. It is selling for $143 per tire with a 360 treadwear, temp. A, and Traction A. It seems like a great price for a great tire. I am getting 225/35/19 tire.

But how does it compare to tires like the Nitto NT 555 and Toyo Proxes 4, or anything similar?

I need help.

BTW, I did do a search but nothing helpful came up.

I went through two sets of Falkens back in the day on my civic and each of them only lasted about a year, not to mention they had darn near no traction in the rain. I've since upgraded to a set of Toyos on the Civic two years ago and they still grip like I just put them on last month. I'm seriously thinking about putting on a set for the TL when the crappy stock tires finally wear out. But check out some reviews of those that are currently running these tires and then make the yea/nea decision.

I agree. I had Falkens on my last car and they weren't holding up well. (I traded the car in so I'm guessing that they would have lasted a year and a half total) I think the treadwear rating of 360 is over estimated on the Azenis ST 115 Those are the same ones I had. I had 245/45/17 and they were about $110 each so for your tire size I think your're getting a good price. I think you'll be saving money in the short term, but you'll probably need new tires again in about 20K-30K miles again!

I have to disagree wiht you guys i have falken st-115 on my 19's and love em, they treadwear is the best ive had with any low profile tire. Ive had Toyo's and Kumhos, and they dont even compare, the traction in the rain is as good as it can be, you cant be this tire for the price. The ride quality for the falkens is not even comparible, no road noise what so ever. The Toyos i had were absolutely the worst tires ive ever owned, the Kumhos i cant really complain about, i got what i paid for and they performed pretty well... my next set of tires will be the falken st-115 again

Thumbs up

Let me add my positive recommendation for these tires. I just replaced these with Yokohamas as I moved from a nice warm climate north to the land of snow and need to get some all seasons.

But I found the Azenis' gripped well in the torrential rain storms we'd get in Florida, and were amazing when it was dry. They were very quiet when new, but I found they would get louder as they wore down.

Pricing was pretty good too.

So the comments thus far are for Falkens all together or just the ST-115's? I was looking at the Yoko AVS ES100's but I sas the Falkens Ziex 512's for about $200 less for a set of 4. It seems to me that you get what you pay for with tires and there must be a reason why they are so much cheaper but the reviews go back and forth. It's either "I Love this tire" or "Never Again". So I was wondering if anyone here had some insight.

Damn, you guys are not making this easy for me.

Just curious how one guy can have a positive feedback while the next guy hates it.

Anyways, I'll keep looking around but I still need more feedback. Keep them coming guys.

Since you've got 19s, what size tires are you running? What is the size of your rim?

I am planning to go with 225/35/19 because I used to have 235/35/19 in the back and it was rubbing a little. It didn't help that I have a system in the trunk.

BTW, I have 19x8 rims with a +45 offset.

I have 225/35/19 falken st-115 on a 19X8 wheel with a 45offset, with a huge system in the trunk, 2 12's in a custom box 1200x1 amp, im dropped on a tein SS, had no flat spots, wearing or rubbing, in my opinion these tires are much better then the nitto555, i was going to go with those tires myself but the guy at the shop talked me out of spending the extra money, im def glad he did
