lug nuts and vibration

Hey guys wats up...well I swtiched back to my stock wheels this weekend from the ron jon wheels. Giving the wheels to my bro....my heart will break to let them go so I am keeping it in the family lol

I used the tuner lugs that came with the rj wheels and I noticed I have terrible vibations at 55mph and above, wheels were balanced on the hunter dsp9700 and they are brand new tires.

Do you guys think the lugs are causing this vibration? These lugs are coned and I know the stock ones are rounded. I alos have the hubcentric hour 5mm spacer in the front.

I read somewhere that the tuner lugs will not seat correct and cause problems.

I am getting new lugs this week.

Can anyone shed some light

youre using tuner lugs on factory wheels?!

quit driving immediately until you can get the factory lugs. i did this on my old integra and one of the lugs just flew off while i was driving and by the time i got to my destination roughly 2 hours away one wheels had only 2 lugs left and another one only had 3. (out of 4)

cool i am going to get the stock lugs this week and drive it again

could this be the reason why my car has the vibration over 55 mph?

yes, lugs can add to vibration..happened to me when i used stock lugs on aftermarket wheels..there are lugs with conical seat and another type..can't remember, but basically the wheels don't center up perfectly and over time the lugs can become loose, even after being torqued. I had hub centric rings too. They switched out the lugs and vibration went away..the proper type of lug nut is vital and very important
