lowering springs
I want drop from stock ride height since im on 17's.
but i really dont want to have to worry about scraping. would 1/2" make a difference appearance wise? also whats a good reasonably priced brand? eibach, tienin?

if you're looking for lowering springs , go with the H&R sport springs , part #50103 . a nice decent drop (F: 1.75/R: 1.5) without sacrificing comfort and these are also good for handling. you won't scrape with these. Most people here like them , I'm sure you will too. these go for about $230~

1/2" is nothing. a 1-1.75" drop may sound like a big drop, but its not as much as you think. i had the eibachs w/tokico shocks. not bad until i put my sub box in. lots of scraping. are your wheels/tires stock?

wheels are 17's; tires are lower profile than stock.
it may just be me thinking it will end up too low.
where can i see a TL on th 1"-1.75" setup?
thanks love AZ, so much info

the H&R sport springs arent too low. Its a great drop. I honestly wouldnt waste my money on trying to get a 1/2" drop. You would never notice it.
Also H&R makes the OE springs that are .75 drop.
Want pics look in the picture treads. There are plenty there.

Sorry for resurrecting a month old thread.
I've owned the Tanabe NF210's for a number of years now.
1) They hold their own in the looks department. Makes my 19's on Proxes 4's look good. Helps the rims really become a part of the car, instead of looking detached and almost distant.
2) Always clear speed bumps, potholes, railroad tracks, and most curbs... and that's with 4 people in the seats. I almost never have to think about clearance, other than avoiding rough obstacles for my rim's sake.
3) 1.5 - 1.75" drop after settling... improved handling... never have to think twice about taking a modest corner at 20-30mph.
Once in a great while I'll see my car from lower ground (looking up a hill at it parked) and wish I went a tad lower... but then I come to my senses when I consider all it does, while still having enough ride height to retain the sophistication of an Acura... which could ultimately mean resale value.
Lets be honest. Very few of us actually tinker with our coilovers after the initial acceptable install.

I have D2s for the past 3 years.... Best suspension I have had. I had the Tein Street Advance and they were AMAZING, rode really good but my issue was they blew up after 1 year and a couple months. But they were amazing.
I dont recommend truhart, too bouncy for my taste, & I dont recommend lowering springs or cutting your own springs, do it right once. Trust me, its going to save you alot of time, money and headaches! Lol
Btw, you can always finance the coils(Thats what i did) I applied for Snap finance, I got approved for 2,250 & now they give you a credit card so you can order w.e you want. The only thing, I recommend paying for the suspension in 100 days because their fees and processing fees are outrageous and after 100 days the amount you owe practically doubles. Just offering some advice😎.

Maybe it's the way the forum is setup, but we often get to say this around here: This post is 9 years old.
A nice forum feature would be a popup when pressing "reply" to a thread that is old stating "the last post to this thread is quite old and previous respondents are likely to have moved on, are you sure?"
