Lowering a 2000 tl
Hey i really want to lower my TL because i have seen pictures of them lowered and it looks amazing. Im sittin on sum 19s and they would look even better if i lowered the car.I looked into pricing and with everything included(lowering kit, shocks, and the allignment kit) the price is over 1000 dollars. Is there any way i can avoid it from costing so much because thats a lot to just lower my car.
Thanks
Thanks

IMO, u might be able to cut the alignment kit. with broad tires and dropped suspensions, u will want the handling that comes with altering the suspensions. getting rid of the negative camber is only benefiting the duration of the tires but u can probably have that done at an alignment center where they may be able to align it slightly. you'd still want some negative camber (eg: BMW'S have them w/o aftermarket wheels/suspensions). It also helps and prevents the car from fishtailing or spinning out on wet surfaces......just in case u didn't know all of this already.

What would be better. Getting a lowered spring like Eibach and new shocks like tokico illuminas, or putting in coilovers like the Tein basic coilovers. Seems to be about the same price range.
