Lowered drivers, tire wear question

Is it a given that lowering your car WILL wear the front-inner part of the tires quicker? Seems like I have to buy new tires every year, regardless of proper rotating and alignments.

I keep seeing 40,000 mile warranties, 25,000 mile warranties, etc. but my tires NEVER last that long.

Is it just a combination of suspension mods (sway bars, polyurethane radius rod bushings, etc.) + lowering springs? Kind of a "comes with the territory" type thing?

my tires wear out within a year to a year and a half if im lucky.

but thats because i dont use camber correction.

if you have camber, your tires WILL wear prematurely.

They're wearing evenly in the sense of 2 at a time, not all 4. The only thing I can think of is taking corners/curves less hard.

I didn't even think I needed one for the front...but then again, I have the 4 arms for the rear and those tires are wearing evenly. I'm only dropped 1.75" in the front, and 1.5" in the rear. (H&R Sport Springs)

EDIT: I also only have a rear sway bar, not a front one.

wearing even like each tire wears out even across? the inside and outside have the same as wear...theres not one side of each tire wearing out before the other side?

you can get a slime thread wear gauge for like $2-3 at advanced auto parts and auto zone, then check the outside of the tire, middle, and inside, if they have worn evenly then its a combo of the roads and how you drive

The insides of the tires are done, but the rest of the tire wear appears to be the same on both front tires.

I'm wondering if it's my lower control arms, after doing some research.

I bet that a front sway bar would help your tire wear issue, especially on a front heavy TLS while cornering. If you can find a cheap used front swaybar in th BM, I'd try that first. Then I would check/replace the inner LCA bushes at a minimum (depending on how many miles are on them). Then, if you still don't notice an improvement, install front camber kits.

OR, just do the camber kits and call it a day.

However, I believe the addition of a front sway bar would not disappoint.

Good luck.

Get alignment then correct with camber kit for the rears or adjustable ball joints if its in the front, as needed.
