Looking For Tires
Hey guys, I've been researching tires for the past few days cause I blew out two tires. The story is here: https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/joke-whats-green-bloody-doesnt-like-sex-106514/
So from the information that I've gathered, I've learned quite a bit from previous post. I've been reading that our cars (TL-S) have Michelin MXM 93 XL which has the specs of 215/50/17. I'm not too sure what the XL stands for, but I do believe our tires are V-speed rated?
So now I'm looking for new tires and I've seen many posts about tires for stock TL-S rims, 225/45/17 is good, but 225/50/17 also fit (
not too sure about this). What I want to ask is, I'm looking for tires that have at least 93 Load-rating, either V or W (but I think I would prefer W) speed rated tires, and okay tread life (cornering as big as a concern to me because I don't take turns hard). So can people point out tires that would be suitable for these conditions?
I've been looking at a few sites (but still need to look). So far I've seen a few options: Yokohamas ES 100, Toyo Proxes 4, Toyo TPT, Looking at Bridgestone Potenzas (but I havent really looked at the specs yet), Browsing through pirellis right now.
Price is not much of a big deal for me, but please share your input on the tires you have/tried/heard and why you would recommand it to others.

So I'm leaning towards these tires:
Yokohama Avid V4S 215/50 VR 17 93 V
Seems like many people on this board recommand that one.
Toyo Proxes TPT 215/50 R 17 95 V
Toyo makes some good tires, and I've heard nothing bad about these tires yet.
Bridgestone Potenza RE050 225/50/17 94 W
These are ULtra-performance tires, not something that I really want, but I wont rule them out![Wink](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Bridgestone Potenza RE040 225/50/17 94
All season performance tires, not as grippy as the RE050 but better for my personal purposes.
There are tires that I have read on this board but I can't find any that fit the TL-S rims because they don't make these for 6.5 rims (Most of these are for 7.0-8.0 Rims):
Yokohama AV ES100 (some members have this on stock TL-S Rims, but I don't understand how it fits because the smallest rim size that it'll fit, from the Yokohama site is 7.0-8.0)
I'm personally leaning towards the Yokohama Avid V4S, and the Toyo Proxes TPT second. Any thoughts? opinions?

You guys beat me to it! I have the Yokohamas Avid V4S & rec. these too. I have these & really like them. They are quieter than the Dunlop that I had previously & with a tread rating of 500, I hope to use these for a while.

I had my eye on these ever since they came out and I ended up getting a really low quote from tiresplus www.tiresplus.com back in ~July
I have never seen these at $65/tire though. Are you sure you are looking at the Avid V4s'?
i thought mine was low since tire rack at the time was at $104, but tires plus gave me a much better deal.

forgot one more thing, I'm in Wisconsin, we got about 10 inches of snow last night, and these tires performed great, much better than the stock michelins. These tires dug down nice and quick and were very stable, never lost the track it was going. very impressed. But I also had to do a couple power slides in an open parking as well, man I love snow!!!!

I actually ordered the from www.tiresplus.com and then had them delivered to the store in Waukesha where they mounted and balanced them, I'm in Tosa though.
