KSport Owners (Former/Present) Input
So being the first time i've ever dropped or put on an aftermarket suspension on one of my cars i'm still in a dilema here. I've been trying to gatehr info the last year or so, and for what i want it seems ksports offer it. But i am concerned about the stiffness and hence need some input.
I plan on going with a custom 9 or 10 rating on teh front spring, but would like input from people who either ran the stock 13 spring or opted for a different setup from ksports.
Reasoninig for ksports is i want to be able to raise the car up close to stock height in the winter. Since i swap my wheels/tires anyways it won't be much trouble. Tiens have a minimum drop of 2.1 and the ss-p is 1" i believe, so that is why they aren't being considered. Also a spring shock setup would cost me close to or more than what the ksports cost and don't offer near the flexability. But if the ride is bone-jarring even with a custom front spring on the ksports i might have to reconisder, since this is my DD.
Have about 80,000 on the odometer now also.
Any input would be great... Thx!

you wont be adjusting them after doing it once. Its not easy and you need an alignment every time you do. K Sports are nice though. Ive installed them on other peoples cars and they rode good.

like Kris said, it's a real pain to adjust any coilover system because it takes time to allign all 4 corners to the same height. but i personally have the ksports on my car for about a year now with the stock spring rates and i love them. I've tried traveling on full soft and it's actually comparable to my H&R sport + stock shock combo...maybe a little bit stiffer. Right now I have them a couple of turns from full stiff and I dont think it's too bad...considering that I'm used to riding in bone jarring integras and sti's. the good thing about ksports is that the height adjustment can be changed without altering spring preloads. For the price of the ksports, you get a lot out of them and i highly recommend them.

If you haven't already picked up a set of ksports DON'T. They are really really stiff... and trully a race coilover. If you want close to stock ride comfort get TEINS, if you want a really stiff drop get ksports.

i completely agree with death.
i drove an accord with ksports before and there is no give at all. it's stiff all the way around. no joke.
i personally couldn't do it because i need that comfort of a smooth ride and plus it's my daily commuter.

wasn't dropped on anything. First time dropping any car was this one on the tanabe. I like em, they won't slam your car make drop is 2.5 in the front a 2 in the rear. But i wasn't lookin to slam it, i was looking for a nice drop i could make even by adjustments and a way to raise the car in the winter. Ksports and tanabe where the only ones i could find that would allow for these 2 things. The rates are 8/4 tein is 7/4 so i would assume it gives the same ride as teins, its definatly stiffer than stock, but not bone-jarring by any means. Crusing down the road it gives a damn close to stock ride.
