Has anyone experience steering problem with 225/55-16 on stock rims?

Has anyone experience problem with their steering with wider 225/55/516 on stock rims?

I am planning to change tires to 225 very soon and don't know if the steering has the torence to handle them since they are designed for 205/60-16.

Your input is much appreaciated!!!

There is a possibility of tramlining with wider tires, but other than that there is no "tolerances" you will be exceeding with 225's.

Thanks for the reply!!

Do you mind explain in a little bit more details? I don't really understand what you mean by tramlining?

Thanks!!

I've upgraded to 225/55-16s on stock rims on my 2000 TL. The Bridgestone Potenza's are great for cornering, starting, stopping. I've been very happy with their performance - much better than stock. The only downside is that they are a little bit louder than the stock Michelins. but considering all the better handling - it was worth it.

exactly what i would say minus the noise part. i think my potenzas are equal in terms of noise compared to the stock michelins, but either way, performance and handling boost in every other aspect! definately should go for it
