Moog Radius Rod bushing...cracked!

I've replaced every part of my front suspension due to a clunk/clank this past fall. I didn't bother to check the RR bushings because I just installed Moog RR bushings about 2 years ago.

The clunk/clank came back so I figured, F it, I'll check em for shits and giggles and this is what I found:

The passenger side's nut isn't flush, so I'm assuming it's only a matter of time before it gets like this too. They were torqued to spec as well. I'm going back to oe(m) RR bushings.

Wow im surprised, Your caster must be off by a few .
Question, did you install them like the service manual indicates ?
Reason I ask is most Accords and TLs that Ive done suspension work on I find that the bushings were installed incorrectly.

I *thought* I did...it was 2 years ago. lol I don't remember. Upon further review though, either I OVER torqued this nut, or I just didn't torque the passenger side enough. There's waaaay more thread showing on the driver's side (where most of the noise is), than the passenger side.

Maybe I over torqued this one? Either way, I'm tired of all the extra stiffness, I bought the rubber replacements tonight.

I highly doubt it, even if it was over torqued it wouldn't change the stiffness of the bushing since it has a collar that stops the bolt from squashing the bushing flat.

Funny thing is, the ones from autozone are the same brand as these, just black:

I think you had it in backwards, like ErickUa5 mentioned.

Nah, I definitely had it correct (I checked as I took them off).

It was just like the pic, with the larger bushing in the front:

BUT I did notice I had mis-matched discs/washers/whatever they're called. The rear bushing had a smaller one than the front...maybe I used the aftermarket one on the front and oem on the rear. Maybe it allowed too much flexing on the bushings? Or maybe I just had a defective bushing.

In any case...on to the next click/popping noise. Thanks guys.

the metal collar that goes inside it, did you reuse your stock one or the one that came with the new bushings?

This time around, the ones that came with the new bushings. Last time, not sure. Is the OEM one shorter or something?
