did you look in the suspension thread section'
they are awesome and come set to a medium firm ride
definetly firmer than stock

it you want adjustablity on the dampening/rebound rate of the shocks- get the SS, its way cool to dial up or down a few clicks as needed for comfort or performance

talk to mrheeltoe- he is the tein god- works with them at the factory on secret developement projects--his shop is near theirs~

I ride them and enjoy them for what I want. If you're looking for a mild drop and a ride that's closest to stock then go with the basics. I don't believe the adjustable dampening of the SS is worth the extra cost. If you'd prefer a stiffer set of coilovers that handle better, then get the Function and Form type 1. It is highly preferred by many members (drops real low too).

I love these. They work great, install easy, have a great life on them...you won't likely have any regrets with the Tein Basics!

I know this is old but I had a question about these coilovers...I just picked up a 02 tl-s with these coilovers installed and I was wondering if there's a way to test if the strut is still working as it should. I can feel the tire bouncing up and down on the road (at least thats what I think it is) and I have unusual tire wear on that same side. Is that enough to tell me I need to either rebuild or buy a new set? I didn't notice any fluid coming out if that helps any. I really hope I can run these for a little while more at least, but then again I hear good things about function and for coilovers.... Thanks in advance.
