Curb Rash and Salt Corrosion on 2002 TL Wheel?
Is there anything that can be done to make these not look as terrible as they do? I'm a young guy on a budget and the previous owner really thrashed the rims.
Anything that I could do to help out aesthetically would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Hey Pyloink, the pics are not showing !
But anyways, ya could try sanding to help level the rash and corrosion on the rims.
Depends on how bad they are, but probably beyond buffing and sealing. Maybe just paint them ?
It depends on the amount of effort ya want to put into them.

Hey TL,
Thanks for your reply! When you say I should sand it, is that with a tool or just by hand?
Also, painted by myself or by a professional?

Theres another link to the picture, hopefully it works this time

You can either sand by hand or carefully use a power driven tool to remove the worse of the oxidation and smooth out the rash. Concentrate your attention to the roughest areas by first using a heavier grit of sandpaper, maybe 320. Try to avoid the unaffected areas until doing the final wetsanding by using about 400, then to 600 feathering into the good areas.
Clean and degrease the rim, then test spray a light coat of paint to see how smooth the surface will be, if ya have some low spots, ya could use some surface filler primer to help level the area up some. Painting with a high temp or special wheel refinishing paint is recommended due to the residual rotor heat.
