So in 29 minute you asked a question and figured it out, while also replying to your own thread 5 times.

speakin of 18x8, if we get the right offset, there should be absolutely no problem with fitment and rubbing right?

you need to consider the center bore diameter as well as pcd, width and offset. if the wheels are larger than that of the car, then it's cool (obviously).

Actually most newer VW/Audi are 5x112. These might actually fit given the correct offset, if you use PCD variation bolts. Google "wobble bolts" if you've never heard of them.

Update:

I work at an Audi dealership and this is what one of the techs told me

VW Passat (98+) and Audi are 5x120

VW and Audi A3 & TT are 5x100

Yikes, which Audi dealership is this? He is correct about the TT only. See: http://www.ronalusa.com/cars.html

I had an '03 A4 with 2 sets of wheels in 5x112. I have also test fitted 5x114.3 (like the TL's pattern) wheels using PCD variation bolts on my A4 without issue or wobble. You need to check the center bore size of the wheels, as I had to get new hubcentric rings made.

Look i am not trying to start a war here but the A3 and the TT are 5x100, that site is wrong. And yea i know you can make most bolt patterns work for an A4 but most people arent looking to go as deep as you did when it comes to adding wheels.

All bmws have been 5x120 except for E30's they were a 4 lug pattern. but the E30 M3 was a 5x120.
Also, from what I've gathered the 5x120 has been BMW only as far back as I can think. No other manufac. Has picked that bolt pattern for some reason.

5,6, and 7 series have low offsets from et15-22 etc, some cars can run low et12's in the rears.
Most 3 series are et34ish to et48ish i've seen.

ok here's the deal regarding euro's

vw mk1-mk3, b3 passat 4cyl, b4 passat 4cyl, corrado G60 4x100
vw mk3 VR6 only, corrado VR6, b4 passat VR6 mk4, new beetle, 5x100
vw mk5, passat B5, b5.5, B6, eurovan, 5x112
audi a4's B5, B6, B7, 5x112
audi TT, 5x100
A6, S6, A8, S8, S4, all 5x112 as well
bmw E36 and newer basically, 3/5/6/7 series, 5x120
merc-benz 5x112 pretty much all thru the lineup as well

TL 5x114, no match for any of these anyways (unless you can find adapters to go from one lug pattern to the next)

G35 5x114 as well, so those are an option but i dunno the offsets for the G wheels, and also hub sizes may differ. (not sure)

ps thas' without lookin @ ronal's site... and regarding a3's, the 8P's are 5x112 (current a3's we have in US) while the 8L a3's (96-03, non-usa) were 5x100...

as in the 17x7.5 avus 6 spokes that came on the 8L s3's, my dream hatch from back in the day

(after-time-expired-edit)

on LM's droooool

so you guys are both correct about the a3's, sorta. but the ronal site is not wrong for stating the 5x112 pattern for a3's, they just failed to put 8P only, not 8L (but since they were never avail. in NA anyways.... )
