Question Best Tires fit?

Ok, so I have a set of 07 type s wheels I'm a throw on my 2g TL. I was wondering if anyone knew the best size tires to wrap the rims in?

awaiting replies...I'm hoping to go buy them tonight so plz reply quickly

need to know the original and new rim width and size to give any help
225 will clear the fenderlip on the 00-01, 235 have to mod the rear fender tab a bit and still scrapes (thats my situation)
but you may be able to get wider-yours has 17s? with what on them now?
You can look up what will fit on a certan width at www.tirerack.con or similar online store

I just have the rims...no tires on them and yes there 17's.
thats why I'm asking whats the best size to go with them?

235 45 17 or 245 45 17...the 245 are actually the same height as your stock 16 in tires...just alot wider..either one would work

I dont want to go low pro cuz I have some springs coming so with the drop it sound look good enough that i shouldnt need low pro's

the factory tires are pretty much low profile considering. I believe like stated above, they are 235/45/17

Well you cant go with a larger sidewall as you will be throwing your speedo off. You have to make sure the tires width and aspect ratio are correct to keep the speedo accurate.

no but imma get some soon and lemme tell you DO NOT go with a 45 series tire on the 03 TL-S rims becuz IMO they look small and i have a huge gap in my wheel wells eventhough im lowered on EIbachs...

50's look the best on 17's....

i had 215/50/17 on my Type S wheels and they were perfect

O7 type s wheels are 17x8...215 are too skinny for that wheel

my post was more aimed at the sidewall height...

225/235 would be an ok fit for 8" width...
