The greatest problem is driving low mileage and the tires not wearing out. I just replaced the tires on my wife's TL with 65,000 miles and nine years old. The tread probably could have gone another couple thousand, but the risks were emerging. I saw a new "test" in which Lincoln's head on the penny is no longer the measure. It's George's wig on the quarter. The tire dealer said the tires were not too bad for drying out, but the car is garaged most times. Probably best to get some good sticky performance tires which won't hit the age before they wear out.

REVIVAL.
So, I ordered a set of tires from DTD, sales rep said they won't be older than a year.
Got them today, tada, "0111" on the side of of all of the tires,,, Older than the set of continentals I purchased 2 years ago that are already on my car -_______-
So I called them, and told the situation, I was offered
a. free replacements for newer tires if they can find newer stock.
b. additional $50 off of total price of $440 (I'm gonna have to negotiate this 50)
c. refund.
I like dealing with them so I would prefer not to refund, but after reading this.....

Quote Wolfdogs "It never ceases to amaze me how many folks think there is nothing more to a tire than just around balck piece of rubber filled with air....... sized to fit a particular vehicle........ "
after the read, I'm feeling uneasy the customer service rep told me RMA said it's okay to sell old tires.
What should I do?? These tires will be used at near track conditions if not real track days, as well as daily summer driving around 100F degrees
