Advice for new tires on TSX Silver Star Rims
Just bought a set of 17x7 TSX Silver Star wheels and need some help on deciding on the tire size and brands. I've searched the archives, but still would like some help. These wheels will be going on a 99 TL-P
I've narrowed down the tire size to either 215/50/17 or 225/50/17. I'm leaning towards the 225's because of the extra rim protection as well as having the proper load ratings.
My main dilema is deciding on what type of tires to get. I live in the California, so I never see any snow. However, I drive a lot (500+ miles/week) and want something with decent tread wear.
I've narrowed down my tire choices to either:
1) Yokohama AVS ES 100 (Summer Tire)
2) Avon Tech M500 (Summer tire)
3) Avon Tech M550 A/S (all season)
4) Kumho Ecsta ASX (all season)
Any help would be great.
